Remember Yerevan

This is the opening of the series “The Stones Remember Yerevan” - about a city that is almost gone.

In each part we go looking for what vanished: buildings that were torn down, rebuilt beyond recognition, or hidden behind newer facades. Part one is the churches and mosques of old, eastern Yerevan. Part two is the Yerevan of Alexander Tamanian, the architect who redrew the city. The next parts follow individual houses and their fates.
