What to do in Armenia?

Spring awakens Armenia with apricot blossoms painting the valleys in soft pink and white. The air is filled with the scent of wildflowers, making this the perfect time to wander through Yerevan’s leafy boulevards, hike the lush trails of Dilijan National Park, or visit UNESCO-listed gems like the monasteries of Haghpat and Sanahin.

Summer brings adventure to every corner of the country. Lake Sevan transforms into a lively retreat for swimming, sailing, and fresh fish feasts on the shore. High in the mountains, hikers can explore the slopes of Mount Aragats or the verdant forests of Tavush. The southern region of Syunik reveals canyons, waterfalls, and the legendary Tatev Monastery, reached by the world’s longest aerial tramway.

Autumn is Armenia’s golden season, when vineyards and orchards overflow with grapes, pomegranates, and figs. Hills and valleys glow in red and gold, creating breathtaking backdrops for road trips and mountain walks. It is also the best time to dive into Armenia’s rich cuisine — from tasty tolma to sweet, flaky gata.

Winter turns Armenia into a cozy retreat framed by snow-capped peaks. Skiers and snowboarders head to Tsaghkadzor, while those seeking relaxation can soak in hot mineral springs or enjoy hearty dishes like khash on chilly mornings. In Yerevan, festive lights brighten the streets, and the quiet mountain landscapes offer a serene escape.
