TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Step inside the UNESCO-listed Gelati Monastery near Kutaisi, founded by King David the Builder. Marvel at its golden medieval mosaics and frescoes, once the heart of a famous academy known as “a new Athens.”
Descend into the Prometheus Cave, a vast network of illuminated halls, stalactites and underground rivers near Kutaisi, finishing with a short boat ride through the glowing passages.
Travel into Racha, a quiet, deeply green mountain region of forests and alpine meadows, home to the carved church of Nikortsminda, the resort of Shovi and the famous Khvanchkara wine.
Glide by boat through Martvili Canyon, a gorge of mossy marble walls and clear jade-green water once reserved for local nobility. Above, paths lead past small waterfalls and pools.
Stroll the seafront boulevard of Batumi, Georgia’s vibrant Black Sea resort, where Belle Époque facades meet bold modern towers, subtropical gardens and a buzzing café culture.

Gelati, Motsameta and Prometheus Cave
We begin in the hills above Kutaisi at the UNESCO-listed Gelati Monastery and the clifftop Motsameta, then go underground into the illuminated Prometheus Cave with its boat ride.

Racha
A scenic drive north into the green mountains of Racha, a region of forests, alpine meadows and quiet villages, with an overnight in the wine town of Ambrolauri.

Oni, Martvili and Kutaisi
We visit the old town of Oni with its historic synagogue, then a boat ride through the emerald Martvili Canyon on the way back toward Kutaisi.

Batumi
Today we transfer down to the Black Sea, with the evening free to enjoy the seafront boulevard and old town of the resort city of Batumi.

Adjara highlands
Our final day climbs into green Adjara, to the mountain villages around Khulo and the high Goderdzi Pass, before returning to Kutaisi.
