DAY 1

Warsaw – Istanbul

Departure from Warsaw to Istanbul. Upon arrival, hotel check-in and the beginning of sightseeing in the city that has connected Europe and Asia for centuries. Former Constantinople, once the capital of the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires, today impresses visitors with its unique atmosphere, oriental bazaars, and monumental landmarks.

Sightseeing includes Sultanahmet Square with its monumental architecture and imperial history, Blue Mosque – the symbol of Istanbul with its six minarets and exceptional architecture, and walk through the historic city center.

Istanbul – Diyarbakır

In Southeastern Turkey, true luxury lies in authenticity rather than massive international 5-star chains. Throughout the FAM trip, we will stay in and inspect premium 3* and 4* boutique hotels, often located in meticulously restored historical stone mansions (konaks). While they may lack standard resort amenities, they offer an unparalleled atmosphere, prime locations in old towns, and highly personalized service. B2B Note for your clients: Due to the historical nature of these buildings, room sizes, layouts, and window views can vary significantly, even within the same room category.

The area is generally safe for travelers, with warm hospitality and deep respect for guests being part of the local tradition.

Dress code: There is no requirement for women to cover their heads (except inside mosques or monasteries). Modest clothing is advised in rural areas; in cities, casual attire is acceptable, but very short shorts or revealing tops may draw attention.

Packing Guide & Tips

The Layering Strategy (Smart Casual): The secret to comfort on this trip is dressing in layers. A typical day starts cold, gets warm and sunny by 2:00 PM, and freezes by 5:30 PM.
Footwear Notice: You will be walking on 1,000-year-old uneven cobblestones in Old Mardin and climbing stone stairs on Mount Nemrut. Flat, sturdy, enclosed walking shoes or hiking boots with excellent grip are mandatory. Leave high heels and thin-soled shoes for the Istanbul dinner.
Daylight Hours: Please note that in late autumn, the sun sets early in Southeastern Turkey (around 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM). Our daily itinerary is strictly optimized around these daylight hours to ensure maximum visibility for all site audits.
